Q: What country parties the hardest?

Air pollution has long been a fact of life in Spanish cities, but scientists now say it is not just smog that chokes people as they walk to work or stroll through the park. A new study has found the air in Madrid and Barcelona is also laced with at least five drugs — most prominently cocaine…in addition to cocaine, they found trace amounts of amphetamines, opiates, cannabinoids and lysergic acid _a relative of LSD…
Not only do they know they’re using a lot of drugs and all kinds, but they know WHEN they’re getting lit the most:
The group said the study showed higher concentrations of the components on weekends, suggesting that drug consumption was up in these periods.
And they know that Spain gets down far more than other European countries.
Mar Viana, another researcher who worked on the project, said the levels were far higher than those found in similar studies in Europe. A similar study in Italy found traces of cocaine and cannabis in the air in Rome and Taranto in the south.

Is the universe trying to tell me something?
2 Comments Published by Jay October 5th, 2007 in day to day.Sometimes we. I’ve been spending much of my free time for the last year on music and the last few months staring a my laptop working on DJ sets and music production within Ableton. None of which I’ve bothered to back up (Note to self: buy backup drive ASAP). Somehow it was spared last night.
I’ve also been contemplating a major career change, going from ad sales…bleh…to architecture…yay. The thought of going back to school is daunting, but those that I’ve mentioned it to have encouraged me to follow my passion. I actually tried to sign up for a CAD course, but got a call back after doing so online telling me it was full. But then today I got a call saying that a spot had opened up.
So yeah, I think the universe is trying to tell me something.
