Field of dreams

Amy and I are leaving for Iowa tomorrow for the weekend. We’ll either be flying, driving, or boating every day for the next four day. We fly from Oakland to Des Moines on Thursday. Then immediatel drive two hours to Clear Lake, where my mom, stepdad, aunt, uncle, and cousins are staying in a rented house for the week. My mom and aunt grew up there and thus the convergence of families. My sister and brother-in-law will meet up with us, and then we’re off to Gilmore City to visit my grandparents. Hopefully we’ll get in a few games of cribbage with the grandparents while we’re there.

Take me out to the ball game

Email exchange with my boss.

boss: hi, are you into baseball tix? are you a giants fan?
me: I’m not a BIG fan, more medium sized. But going to games is fun. What’s up?
boss: just curious in case i ever get tix….

Is that a tease, or what? Granted, I’m really not a fan of baseball or most professional sports, but hell, I’ll go to a game for free. Then my coworker’s phone rings. There’s a lot of “yeah”, “sure”, “alright, thanks!”. Turns out my boss’ boss had a pair of Giants tickets for both next Wednesday and Thursday. So it looks like I’m going to at least one game next week. It’ll be hyphee, but I’m not looking forward to the expensive beers.

Please look away

This is the basic wordpress template, and it’s fuckin lame. I’m working on a new one, so we’ll see how long it takes me. Hopefully forever.

Update: I found a site where there’s a plugin that I can easily switch styles. You’re currently looking at the first one I uploaded. Not exactly what I want, but getting there.

This is the end…

my only friend,
the end

or is this the beginning?
