Seriously, I am alive, and have a few thoughts, but nothing significant or cohesive enough to put on here. Lots of crazy stuff in the news, but I don’t feel it necessary to talk about MJ/Schiavo/Minnesota/ANWR/Yada/Yada/Yada. So while I have been pretty busy lately, I really haven’t been terribly focused, which I don’t like. Most disappointing is that I haven’t been taking very many pictures or hooping all that much. But that’s gotta change soon, ya hear me!!

You and your smile

On a very lazy sunday afternoon last weekend, Marshall played the video below for Kirsten and I, and I can’t seem get it out of my head. Simply gorgeous. And that Laquer sure does write a good song.

Summer, already?

san francisco sunset into the fogI can’t believe how amazingly gorgeous the weather has been the last few days. Today, it’s about 75 and the sky is clear and blue. Granted, along with the heat comes the fog, but the fog is pretty fun as well. Surreal even. The pic on the left was taken last Sunday after we left cell space and were driving west on 17th on our way to Justin’s. The sun was just beginning to hide behind the fog, and when I saw it I pretty much slammed on the brakes despite Amy’s declaration that it was far too bright, which was true. But in the few moments it took for me to get the camera out, the sun set a little more and the light was just about right. Not the usual pinks, purples and oranges that are characteristic of SF sunsets, but I like how this makes it seem like the hills are on fire.

to do…

1. better integrate photo albums into main site
2. fix comment DB errors
3. clean up comment popup style
4. redo entire site design
5. stop worrying about this shit

I’m just going to keep reminding myself to do all this so at some point I drive myself so crazy that I actually do them.

NYC photos

new york city photo albumI’ve finally finished uploading my photos from New York. A couple of notes:

-
1) None of the pictures have been cropped or photoshopped in any way, except for the last two which are compositie panoramas.
2) The timestamp on each image is in Pacific rather than Eastern, so add three hours to see that I/we stayed up far too late many nights.
3) A number of people have asked for prints of some images, and I’m in the process of getting them made. I’m testing out a few vendors to see which does the best job. I’m sort of being anal about it because I want to make sure they look as close to the original as possible. If you want one ( or a few ) just let me know and I’ll hook it up.
